Exifix Support
For Exifix on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
Exifix corrects the times, time zones, and locations of photos taken with a real camera.
How it works
Show the code on your iPhone. Photograph it with your camera, once. Import your photos the way you always do. Exifix finds that one frame among them, works out how wrong your camera's clock was to about a tenth of a second, and offers to correct every photo it took.
Nothing is changed until you say so, and every change can be undone.
Four habits make it exact
- Photograph the Exifix Code before you shoot, each morning or in a new place. One frame is enough.
- Track your location in the app while you shoot. Each photo then lands where you stood, as accurate as your device's GPS.
- Swapped cards, or changed the clock anyway? Photograph the code again. It starts a clean chapter.
- Never change your camera's internal clock while you are using Exifix. Your camera's consistently incorrect clock is the evidence, and changing it erases that evidence.
Common questions
It says "No QR code nearby, nothing proposed"
Exifix found no photograph of the code among your recent imports. Show the code, photograph it with your camera, import those photos, and scan again.
A QR code was visible but couldn't be read
Usually blur or glare. Nothing is lost: the times printed on the code screen in that photo are still readable by eye. Photograph the code again, filling more of the frame, and hold steady.
Which cameras work?
Any camera that stamps its photos with a time. Mirrorless, DSLR, action cameras, instant cameras, old point and shoots. Exifix is not tied to any manufacturer and treats every camera the same way.
Can I undo a fix?
Yes. Settings, then History. Every fix records the values it replaced, and undo puts them back.
Photos imported straight from a card are the one exception. Those arrive already correct, so there is no earlier time for them to go back to. You can still adjust their times from the same screen.
Does anything leave my device?
No. There is no server and no account. What syncs between your own devices goes through your private iCloud, which only you can read. See the privacy policy.
What does it cost?
Fixing your first batch of photos is free. After that Exifix offers a 7-day free trial, then a subscription or a one-time purchase, whichever you prefer. Showing the code and recording tracks are always free.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Exifix. On your iPhone: Settings, then your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Cancelling during a free trial costs nothing.
